Past Event: Western Balkans Summit 2019

From December 6-8, 2019, the Beacon Project together with the New Direction think tank will be organizing the Western Balkans Summit, a conference bringing together regional experts and policymakers from across the region and the EU. The conference will feature discussions about the current state of security in the region, NATO accession, transatlantic re-engagement and the influence of non-Western actors through  investments or disinformation campaigns that prey on and exacerbate existing social fissures. The conference will also host a roundtable discussion with a new generation of young political leaders from across the Western Balkans.
